Education minister visits Woodlands Park Nursery and Rowland Hill

 

On 31 March 2025, Stephen Morgan MP, Minister for Early Education and Childcare, visited our Woodlands Park Nursery and Rowland Hill to launch the Department for Education’s new “Joy of Play” initiative.

The campaign highlights the vital role of play in early years settings and its positive effect on children’s development.

During the visit, the minister met with staff and children, observed play sessions and discussed the importance of giving children rich opportunities for exploration, creativity, and active learning. He emphasised that early years educators are central to shaping children’s futures.

With the childcare code deadline approaching on 31 March, Mr Morgan also encouraged parents to explore the Childcare Choices website for guidance and support in accessing available funding.
